The Medical Colleges of Northern Philippines (MCNP) once again demonstrated its commitment to academic excellence and research innovation as its nursing faculty proudly represented the institution at the 3rd International Conference and Competition in Research and Education (ICCRE) held via Zoom on October 18–19, 2025.

The international event was organized by the Global Researchers Association and Convergence for Excellence (GRACE), Inc. in partnership with the Eulogio “Amang” Rodriguez Institute of Science and Technology. It gathered researchers, educators, and professionals across disciplines to showcase outstanding research contributions in education, science, and health.

Among the distinguished participants, Ms. Danica A. Queman, RN of the MCNP College of Nursing earned the 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗣𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 for her exceptional study titled:

“Bridging the Gap: Theoretical Knowledge and Clinical Competency among Third Year Nursing Students of Medical Colleges of Northern Philippines.”

Her research highlights the crucial link between theoretical learning and clinical application—underscoring the strength of MCNP’s nursing education and its alignment with Florence Nightingale’s legacy of evidence-based practice.

Equally remarkable were the contributions of her fellow researchers:

Ms. Krichelle JP D. Carungi, RN – “The Correlation of Eating Habits, Physical Activity, and Dietary Patterns of ISAP-MCNP Employees.”

Mr. John Casmir S. Camarauan, RN – “Freshmen Students’ Adaptation to College Life in MCNP College of Nursing Using Sister Callista Roy Adaptation Theory.”

Their participation and recognition reflect MCNP’s steadfast dedication to fostering research competence, critical thinking, and scholarly excellence among its students and faculty. The success of these faculty-researchers serves as an inspiration to the entire MCNP community, affirming that with perseverance, mentorship, and purpose, excellence knows no boundaries.

Indeed, MCNP continues to shine as a cradle of globally competent, research-oriented, and service-driven nursing professionals.
