September 3, 2025 | The Medical Colleges of Northern Philippines (MCNP) and the International School of Asia and the Pacific (ISAP) welcomed officials from the Japanese Foundation Manila in a courtesy visit at the MCNP Board Room on September 3, 2025.

The delegation included Ms. Kazumi Ayukawa, Japanese Language Instructor; Mr. Hikaru Yokobori, Assistant Japanese Language Education Adviser; and Ms. Junko Atagi, Japanese Language Education Adviser. Their visit renewed the partnership that began in 2011, when MCNP and ISAP pioneered the regionโs Japanese Language Program, giving students the opportunity to study Nihongo and experience Japanese culture.

During the discussions, both parties explored ways to expand cultural exchange, strengthen language training, and create more academic linkages that would prepare students for global opportunities.

School President Dr. Christian R. Guzman thanked the Japanese Foundation Manila for its continued support, emphasizing that such partnerships nurture globally competent graduates while fostering stronger ties between the Philippines and Japan.
