Tuguegarao City, Cagayan—The Medical Colleges of Northern Philippines (MCNP) and the International School of Asia and the Pacific (ISAP), led by President Dr. Christian R. Guzman, paid a courtesy visit to the returning Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Region 02 Regional Director, Dr. Julieta M. Paras, CESO III, to discuss initiatives aimed at strengthening higher education in the region.
The meeting, held at the CHED Regional Office, focused on fostering collaboration and aligning institutional efforts with national educational goals. Dr. Paras welcomed the delegation and acknowledged MCNP-ISAP’s contributions to academic development in Region 02. She emphasized the importance of partnerships in advancing quality education and institutional growth.


Dr. Guzman expressed the institutions’ commitment to supporting CHED’s programs and explored opportunities in internationalization, academic rankings, and faculty development. The discussion also covered strategies to enhance institutional performance and expand academic linkages to meet global standards.
Dr. Paras highlighted CHED’s dedication to working with higher education institutions (HEIs) to implement policies that address emerging challenges in the education sector. She encouraged MCNP-ISAP to remain active in CHED initiatives that promote quality, innovation, and student-centered learning.
Both parties acknowledged the need for continuous engagement to support the region’s academic development. MCNP-ISAP’s participation in the dialogue reflects its ongoing efforts to align with national and international standards and contribute to advancing higher education in the region.
