MCNP, ISAP welcome freshies for A.Y. 2021-2022

PEÑABLANCA, CAGAYAN – Through a virtual freshmen week celebration, the Medical Colleges of Northern Philippines (MCNP) and International School of Asia and the Pacific (ISAP) officially welcomed its freshmen students and transferees for academic year 2021-2022 via Zoom platform last September 6 – 8, 2021.

The “General Welcome Program” started the activity which aimed to welcome the new freshmen students and transferees, and to give them the overview of the things they need to be a mighty eagle by presenting to them the members of the administration and the roaster of the caliber teaching and non-teaching staffs of the school.

Mr. Christian R. Guzman, OIC – President, challenged the students to look the education journeys as stepping stone to fight the pandemic. He added that flying with their fellow mighty eagles, everyone can reach their dreams. Meanwhile, Wilma R. Guzman, Executive Vice President, also graced the opening day with her inspirational message.

Administrators, heads of offices, deans and program coordinators, faculty members, and administrative staffs were also introduced.

The second day was the “General Orientation Program” which aims to give students ideas on policies and guidelines of the institutions, and its vision, mission, goals and objectives to have a common and better understanding of them.

Atty. Cristina G. Natividad, Vice President for Innovations and External Initiatives shared a heart-warming message to open the program, succeeded by the presentation of policies and guidelines of the different offices like the Registrar, Health, Finance, Guidance Services, and Student Services.

The last day was the Webinar on Flexible Learning and Online Learning: A Success Stories. Two great speakers were invited to share their stories and techniques used during their college life.

Serina Paleg, RRT, faculty of College of Radiologic Technology and Engr. Mark Albert Tejada, faculty of College of Information Technology and Engineering. Winnie T. Cancejo, Vice President for Academic Affairs gave her uplifting message as the program commenced.

Some 1500 freshmen students participated on the said activity which was initiated by the Office of the Students Services (OSS). The Council of Leaders (COL) also gave support to the activity by acting as hosts, moderators, and prayer leaders. This is the 2nd time a virtual Freshmen week celebration was conducted since the start of pandemic.
